The Rowing Canada Aviron National Rowing Championships-Canada Cup (NRC-CC) is a four-day national competition that brings together the best athletes from across the country to compete for a chance to be crowned National Champion and Canada Cup Winners. The RCA NRC-CC regatta is meant to take place during the last full weekend of September to allow more provinces to participate, more university athletes to compete and improve the chances of holding the event in better weather.
The Canada Cup portion of the regatta is to be held the Sunday after the NRC Saturday finals to promote intra-regional competition and encourage the provinces to develop Canada Games athletes and coaches earlier on.
Rowing BC selects their best athletes to represent British Columbia at the regatta and this is a major opportunity for athletes to be identified as potential future Canada Games and national team rowing athletes.
Interested Team BC athletes and coaches must submit their online application forms by Monday, July 4th, 2016.
