The NCCP is a coach training and certification program for 67 different sports and is offered in both official languages across Canada. NCCP workshops are designed to meet the needs of all types of coaches, from the first‐time coach to the head coach of a national team.
Rowing BC offers two training streams for coaches within the Canadian National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). The two streams offered by Rowing BC are RCA Learn to Row Coach Workshop, (for coaches working with entry level participants), and RCA Coach Workshops, (for coaches starting to work with competitive athletes).
It is recommended that all coaches at Rowing BC member organizations have a minimum standard of Trained status in at least one of the NCCP courses – RCA Learn to Row Coach, RCA Coach or RCA Performance Coach. It is recommended that all coaches complete the Making Ethical Decisions online module at their relevant level.
