This camp on Long Lake in Nanaimo, BC is intended to provide an opportunity for Masters rowers to work with highly skilled coaches to fine-tune the technical aspects of their rowing. The weekend will include four on-water rowing sessions complimented by video analysis, injury prevention and yoga sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to network and connect with rowers from other areas of the province during group lunches and dinners at some of the favourite spots for rowers in Nanaimo. Registration includes a limited-edition Rowing BC Masters Camp long-sleeved technical shirt for all participants. All participants must be confident rowing a single or pair.
Featured Coach: Drew Harrison
Drew Harrison loves coaching and rowing and feels effective rowing for Masters is just as important as it is for World Champions. Drew has coached in 4 Olympics and numerous World Championships and has been National Coach in Japan and Canada. He recently spent 3 months as Head Coach at the Asian Rowing Federation High Performance Training Camp in China. He has led many coaching development workshops in Canada, U.S., Japan, and several other countries. He also rows a lot. Drew started rowing in 1964 as a novice at Syracuse University where he is a member of the Rowing Hall of Fame and is a Letter Winner of Distinction. “Let’s have a lot of fun sculling effectively at this camp.”

Registration is available on a first-come-first-served basis. Registrations received after a camp is full will be placed on a waitlist and contacted if space becomes available. Completed registration includes submission of an online registration form along with payment made by cheque to the Rowing BC office (155-3820 Cessna Drive, Richmond, BC, V7B 0A2) or e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Participants are expected to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Each participant is expected to also arrange equipment for use at the camp (ex. car-top a single from their home training location to the camp location). Storage for equipment during the camp will be provided at the host site. Participants unable to provide their own equipment should contact email@example.com for alternative options.
