DESCRIPTION:Trailer Driving Skills\nDate: Sunday November 19th\, 2017\nTime: 9am-10.30am\nLocation: UBC Boathouse\, 7277 River Rd\, Richmond\nCost: FREE! \nThis session is a chance for clubs to expand their number of trailer driving crews! \nTrailer driving is a skill essential for all coaches to have in their “tool box”\, however many coaches don’t get the chance to develop skills and confidence. \nFacilitated by UBC Men’s Coach Mike Pearce\, participants will gain valuable hands-on experience and knowledge. \nAreas that will be covered include:\n– Tips on loading maximum boats in minimum time\n– Hitching a trailer\n– Essential skills like cornering and backing a trailer\n– Highway driving – thinking ahead \nAs this will be a hands-on session\, make sure to bring your driving license. \nOutboard Engine Maintenance\nDate: Sunday November 19th\, 2017\nTime: 10.45am-12.15pm\nLocation: UBC Boathouse\, 7277 River Rd\, Richmond\nCost: FREE! \nEngines are an essential but often little understood tool for all clubs and coaches\, so this opportunity is not to be missed. This workshop will give coaches an overview of not only maintaining engines\, but also cover best practice in engine use. \nFacilitated by Mike DiNardo from Galleon Marine\, participants will get an overview in common maintenance items such as:\n– Changing oil\n– Inspecting/changing plugs\n– Cleaning fuel pump\n– Also covered will be common issues like cold and hot starts\, flooding the engine\, setting transom angle\, and more. \nEvery coach and club should take advantage of these sessions! \nRegister here \nFor more information or for any questions\, please contact Rowing BC Coaching Coordinator Martin George at paracoach@rowingbc.ca\, or 250 037 7732
