SUMMARY:WORKSHOP: RCA Coastal Coach Practical Workshop (Victoria)
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Overview: \nThe RCA Coastal Coach Workshop is intended for coaches who will be working with coastal rowers. \nThis workshop is divided into two components – a virtual component and an in-person component. Coaches should plan to attend a virtual component and an in-person component in the same season if possible as the content is interconnected. \nIn the coastal workshops you will learn about and discuss: coastal rowing safety\, training and race skills\, boat handling\, rigging\, and Rules of Racing. \nDetails:  \nSunday\, May 24 8 AM – 12 PM at Cadboro-Gyro Park. \nThis is a hands-on workshop at Cadboro Bay where workshop participants will have the opportunity to play the role of coach\, regatta organizer\, boat holder\, and athlete. Wear clothing appropriate for going into the water! And bring a change of clothes for afterwards. \nFull engagement during all sessions is required to receive credit for this workshop. \nRegistration: Registration and payment is available through EventBrite HERE. \nRegistration will close on Friday\, May 15 at 8 AM. There must be 4 registrants by this time for the workshop to run. \nPre-requisites: \nBefore taking this workshop\, all coaches must have completed the following RCA Every Coach Certified Requirements: \n\nCriminal Record Check\nNCCP Coach Initiation In Sport (Online Module)\nRCA Rowing Essentials (Online Module)\nMaking Ethical Decisions Module (Multiple Delivery Options Available)\n\nInformation about how to complete each of these requirements is available HERE. \nIn addition\, coaches are expected to have completed the RCA Coastal Coach Virtual Workshop and have a Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card. \nHave further questions?
