DESCRIPTION:U19 Development Camp (Interior)\nRowing BC\, with support from the Vernon Rowing and Dragon Boating Club\, will be hosting a U19 Development Camp at Swan Lake May 8-9\, 2021. This camp is intended for U19 athletes interested in experiencing a performance development camp. It is an ideal training opportunity for athletes from Zone 1 (Kootenays)\, 2 (Thompson-Okanagan)\, 7 (North West) and 8 (Cariboo-North East) with goals of attending the 2020 BC Summer Games. It is an opportunity to be challenged in a slightly different way than daily club-based training\, and connect with athletes from the wider area who are striving for similar goals. \nAdditional details will be made available closer to the camp date. SUMMARY:Shawnigan Lake Regatta (Cancelled)
DESCRIPTION:Shawnigan Lake Regatta hosted by Shawnigan Lake School. \nThis 2000m regatta is for highschool athletes racing for their clubs or schools. It is the last big local regatta on Vancouver Island in the Spring season\, and a final chance for a tune up before some teams head to the Canadian Secondary School Regatta. Athletes attending this regatta will often first attend the Maple Bay Regatta and Brentwood Regatta\, then attend the Shawnigan Lake Regatta\, possibly before attending the Canadian Secondary School Regatta. Participants come from across BC. SUMMARY:Level 2 Umpire Seminar (Part 2)
DESCRIPTION:The Level 2 Seminar is required once every three years for Level 2\, 3\, 4\, and 5 Umpires in order to meet the standard set by RCA. This Seminar will be offered in a virtual environment over the course of three sessions. The sessions have been scheduled for Monday April 26th\, May 17th and June 7th each at 7:30 PM. Each session will run for 60-75 min total. As much participation through chat and discussion as possible is encouraged. While performance athletes are welcome\, the focus is on the development of novice and JV athletes. This regatta is being expanded to also include opportunities for SR and MA athletes looking for additional race opportunities at this point in the season. For JR athletes\, this event is a sister event to the Delta Deas Scholastic Regatta.
