FORT LANGLEY COMMUNITY ROWING CLUB is hiring two Recreation Program Leaders for 9 week terms this summer.
-Must possess Pleasure Craft operators licence, and be competent in operating a coach boat
-Must be a competent rower with demonstrated ability to effectively coach others
-Open to candidates age 15-30
-Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or a person protected by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
-No previous employment experience necessary
-References available upon request
-Hours of work vary, and include Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, some daytimes, and some weekday evenings
-Develop, schedule, and coach introductory and community rowing programs for adults and senior youth, with an emphasis on engaging seniors (over age 65) in the sport of rowing
-Deliver consistent quality rowing instruction to a variety of participants
-Develop and adapt rowing programs to encourage health, wellness and fun, within the confines of Provincial and local health orders and other external Covid restrictions.
-Create and innovate to address specific challenges - build self esteem, accountability and participant confidence.
-Responsible for organizing effective lesson plans, training plans, equipment allocations and mandatory health check documentation.
