DESCRIPTION:Date: September 7-9th\nLocation: Jericho Sailing Center\, Vancouver \nHosts: Rowing BC\, Salish Sea Coastal Rowing Club\nTopic: World Coastal Rowing Championships Preparation\nMinimum participants: 8\nCost to participate: $260 \nWith roughly one month until the World Rowing Coastal Championships and held in Sidney\, BC this coastal rowing weekend at the Jericho Sailing Centre in Vancouver\, BC will offer the ideal training opportunity for rowers getting used to coastal boats and water conditions. This camp will provide the opportunity to experience reacting to a sea swell and other open-water features as well as practice turning and beach launching before shifting focus onto the World Championships race course structure and practising on a mock-course set up at Jericho. The weekend will conclude with a race following the real World Championships course set-up. \n Amidst the on-water components\, participants will also enjoy “Stories from the Sea” – a series of photo stories from rowers who have had experiences like rowing across the Atlantic! The weekend will be a chance to expand your rowing network\, and get to know others from across the province through group lunches and dinners. All equipment will be provided\, but participants are expected to have rowing experience equivalent to being confident in a flatwater single. Both experienced and novice coastal rowers are welcome! Registration includes a limited-edition Rowing BC Masters Camp long-sleeved technical shirt for all participants.  \nWeekend Overview:  \nFriday\, September 7th\n6:00-9:30 PM \nSaturday\, September 8th\n6:30 AM-7:15 PM \nSunday\, September 9th\n6:30 AM-4:15 PM \nRegistration: \nRegistration is available on a first-come-first-served basis. Registrations received after a camp is full will be placed on a waitlist and contacted if space becomes available. Completed registration includes submission of an online registration form along with payment made by cheque to the Rowing BC office (155-3820 Cessna Drive\, Richmond\, BC\, V7B 0A2) or e-transfer to admin@rowingbc.ca. \nRegistration is now closed.
