Canadian Volunteers Therese Casgrain Lifelong Achievement Award

Canadian Volunteers Emerging Leader Award

Recognizes volunteers between the ages of 18 and 30 who have demonstrated leadership and helped to build stronger communities.

Canadian Volunteers Community Leader Award

Recognizes outstanding individual volunteers or groups of volunteers who have taken a lead role in developing solutions to social challenges in communities. This category does not include not-for-profit organizations or registered charities.

Recognizes a woman who has made a significant impact in sport in British Columbia throughout her career, worked to create access and opportunities for participation in sport and recreation and inspires through her own achievement, passion, and dedication.

The BC Sports Hall of Fame offers two awards that volunteers may be eligible for.

BC Sports Hall of Fame Induction: Builder

Attained a high level of excellence and brought honour to British Columbia sport through ongoing dedication to the building of athletes, teams, or sport itself.

BC Sports Hall of Fame WAC Bennett Award

Presented to an individual who has made a significant, unique, and lasting contribution to sport in BC, typically in multiple roles and at multiple levels of engagement. Designed to honour uniquely-credentialed individuals who might not qualify for induction under the criteria for other categories. Candidate must exemplify good character and dedication, provide inspiration and well-recognized.

Rowing Canada offers four awards that volunteers may be eligible for.

Rowing Canada Volunteer of the Year

Recognizes an individual who has, in a manner consistent with RCA’s values of excellence, integrity and community made an exemplary contribution to the sport in the areas of leadership, development and growth. This award is intended to recognize a volunteer member of a Club or Special Association who has, through a particular piece of work or initiative made a significant contribution, had a strong and positive impact on the rowing community, particularly in the immediate past season/year.

Recognizes a longstanding, significant and exemplary contribution (min ten years) to the sport of rowing in Canada.
