2026 BC Summer Games | July 22-26, 2026

The BC Summer Games is a four-day event that takes place every two years, providing one of the few opportunities for Junior athletes to experience a multi-sport games. Rowing has been a major component of the Games since 2010. At the 2026 BC Summer Games, over 3000 athletes, coaches, and officials will participate across 19 sports hosted by the City of Kelowna. Rowing will be represented by 8 Zone teams, each consisting of 2 coaches and 8 U17 athletes (4 male and 4 female). Athletes from each Zone will race in the Men’s and Women’s 1x, Men’s and Women’s 2x, Men’s and Women’s 4x, and Mixed 4x event categories on a 1000m course on Swan Lake in Vernon, BC.

HERE’S HOW TO GET INVOLVEDĀ
- Find out which Zone you are eligible to represent HERE
- Sign up to attend one of Rowing BC’s pre-Games U17 Development Camps – your chance to train alongside other up-and-coming Junior athletes in a performance environment, coached by Rowing BC’s Director of Performance
- Look out for the release of Zone-specific Selection Procedures in Spring 2026. Each Zone will follow its own selection process to determine their team. Teams will be finalized by June 2026.
COACHES:
WHO
- 1 Head Coach per Zone – must be RCA Coach Certified by the time of the Games
- 1 Assistant Coach per Zone – must have completed the RCA Coach Weekend 1 and Weekend 2 Workshops by the time of the Games
