Trailer Driving 101

November 13, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 2:30 pm
Free

Each workshop is 90’ long, and runs at the same time as Outboard Engine Maintenance

Date: Sunday, November 13, 2016
Time: Session 1: 11:00am – 12:30pm / Session 2: 1:00pm – 2:30pm

Driving your club’s trailer is a big responsibility and an often overlooked area of many coaches’ education. Learn the do’s and don’ts of trailer driving under the direction of Katie Steenman. You will be expertly guided through experiences such as hitching your trailer to a truck (both gooseneck and 5th wheel), safety checks on a trailer, considerations for loading, backing, turning. A highlight will be driving a truck and trailer combination over a short loop both on highway and in the carpark at Vic City Rowing Club.

This is a hands-on session facilitated outside, so please dress appropriately.

Note: lunch and hot and cold beverage will be provided (FREE) at 12:30pm

To register for the workshop, please fill out the online Coach Development Session Form.
