Beach Sprint Clinic

Learn the basics of beach sprint rowing. Practical and hands on for coaches and athletes.
The 5-hour clinic will cover the following:
- Equipment standards
- Boat handling and entries
- Turns and steering
- Landing and exits
Participants will have an opportunity to put the new skills to work during some fun side by side pieces.
This camp is intended for both athletes and coaches who have limited or no beach sprint experience. It is not a learn-to-row. Coaches are welcome to step into the boat in an athlete role, or remain near the shore in the boat handler and coach role.
Everyone will be in the water up to knees at least. Water shoes are a minimum. Neoprene leggings are recommended. Participants will also need at least one set of dry clothes to change into and a warm cover-up coat for on the beach. Boats and oars are provided.
There will be a short nutirition break with light snacks provided.
