CAMP: Rowing BC Regional Performance Camp (Vancouver Island)

Saturday Jan 14th, 2023: One Day Junior Regional Camp

Hosted by The University of Victoria and Rowing BC at the Elk Lake Boathouse

This regional camp is the first in a new series of camps that aims to gather together the top performing Junior athletes and coaches to create side-by-side training opportunities, share information about the BC Development Pathway, discuss the 2023 season and build high performance Junior projects.

This invite-only camp is for targeted athletes and coaches on the Performance Pathway, selected based on National Rowing Championships results and ergometer performances. A few additional athletes will be included based on coach recommendation.

Schedule:

  • 9:30am meeting
  • 10:00am launch small boat row 14-16 km
  • 12:30 Lunch break/BC Development Pathway discussion Q&A
  • 1:00 pm Erg Technique session
  • 2:00 pm Launch big boat row 14-16 km
  • 4:00 pm Wrap up and next steps
