REGATTA: Brown Cup

Location: Gorge Waterway, Victoria
Description: This is an annual contest between UBC and UVIC, started in 1991. The format of the race is a dual style head-to-head race where two crews start side by side and race the best line over the set distance on either the Gorge Waterway or the Fraser River. Watched live around the world, the Brown Cup Races have become a fixture in the Canadian rowing calendar.
