Rowing BC’s Annual Umpire Seminar has been scheduled as follows:
- Saturday, February 21, 2026
- 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Mary Winspear Center in Sidney, BC
The underlying theme of this seminar is collaboration and celebration. We are crafting an agenda of topics that will be approached in an interactive and collaborative way, ensuring you can fully engage with each of the topics in a way that is relevant to you. We also look forward to using this day to celebrate some of the notable accomplishments of individual umpires over the past year, and will be enjoying a catered lunch to show our appreciation of the entire umpire community!

Rowing BC Umpire Committee Elections
Registered, Licensed Umpires who have actively participated in regattas during the previous year are eligible for election to the Rowing BC Umpire Committee. Ideally, there will be representation on the Committee from at least two of the three regions of the province (Vancouver Island, Lower Mainland and Interior). Where practical, the Committee is intended to include an Umpire Clinician and a Certified Chief Umpire.
If you would like to submit your name for inclusion in the election, please complete the Expression of Interest form below by Friday, January 23rd.
Candidate bios will be shared in advance of the Annual Umpire Seminar to support all Licensed Umpires to make informed decisions when it comes time to vote.
