WORKSHOP: RCA Learn to Row Coach Virtual Workshop (Day 1 of 2)
Workshop Overview:
The RCA Learn to Row Coach Workshop is intended for coaches who will be working with beginner athletes (those in the Learn to Train stage of Long Term Athlete Development).
In this workshop you will learn about and discuss: safety, analyzing the rowing stroke, Long Term Athlete Development, lesson planning, skills analysis, teaching and learning, rigging, para rowing, and modifying Learn to Row lessons to meet the needs of your club and the participants.
Following completion of this workshop you will be “RCA Learn to Row Coach Trained”.

This workshop will be delivered virtually (over Zoom), split across two dates:
- Saturday, June 7th 2:30-6:30 PM
- Saturday, June 21st 2:30-6:30 PM
Full engagement during both sessions is required to have completed the RCA Learn to Row Coach workshop.
Registration: Registration and payment ($200 workshop fee) is available through EventBrite HERE.

Pre-requisites:
Before taking this workshop, all coaches must have completed the following RCA Every Coach Certified Requirements:
- Criminal Record Check
- NCCP Coach Initiation In Sport (Online Module)
- RCA Rowing Essentials (Online Module)
- Making Ethical Decisions Module (Multiple Delivery Options Available)

In addition, coaches are expected to have a Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card.
