Trudy and Doug Peden Women in Sports Award

Rowing BC is very fortunate to have been chosen by the Trudy & Doug Peden Charitable Foundation to administer the Trudy and Doug Peden Women in Sports Award to two deserving female athletes within our organization. Both Trudy & Doug Peden had a passion for helping young women in sport and made many contributions to sport in Victoria and Canada.

This award of $2500.00 was given to two female athletes within Rowing BC who are currently pursuing post-secondary education and who have demonstrated consistently high work ethic, commitment and performance criteria. The intent is to provide financial assistance for women in sport, desiring to advance their post-secondary education.

We would like to congratulate Willa Pepin and Danica Ariano who were chosen as the recipients for 2022. Congratulations!
