Para-Rowing Inclusion At Your Club

*This session will be preceded by “Selection” at 11.15am

Facilitated by Martin George, Rowing BC Coaching Coordinator and Para-rowing Coach, this session is designed to give coaches and club administrators a good understanding of how to introduce persons with a disability to the sport of rowing. There is, in fact, not a great difference between teaching rowing for able-bodied participants, and those participants with a disability. This workshop will focus on the areas where these differences occur, such as transfers, rigging, and will include useful tips around the boathouse. The focus will be very much hands-on, and give participants opportunities to try out different types of rowing, and address common concerns.
