Soldier On – Team Canada Invictus Games Training Camp

Invictus Games Whistler Vancouver are a month away and Team Canada is in their final training camp right now!

Team Canada competitors participate in 11 sports against competitors from 24 other countries. The Invictus experience is designed to support active and retired military personnel during recovery from injury and illness. We have all experienced the benefits of sport in our lives. This event celebrates the journey to wellness for the competitors!

This week Team Canada is in Richmond and Whistler for their third training camp in preparation for the Games. The competitors are learning new sports and skills and will take the new skills to the world stage starting on February 8, 2025. Rowing BC has provided equipment and connection support since the first training last summer, and we are proud to provide expertise as well during this final step toward the Games.

If you would like more information about the Invictus Games, buy tickets for events, or see all of the sports involved, check out the IG25 webpage. For information about how Rowing BC and member rowing clubs support people with disabilities to be able to row, check out the Para Rowing page of the Rowing BC website. Keep in mind that many of the competitors, as well as many members of our communities, have invisible disabilities.
