This year’s Coach Education, and what’s in store for 2025

The final coach workshop of 2024 wrapped last weekend. Many thanks to the coaches who participated and made it fun and valuable, and to False Creek Rowing Club and Jericho Sailing Centre for hosting and providing equipment!
It has been a busy year of coach workshops, webinars, and more. Here is the recap:
- Two Learn to Row Coach Workshops
- Two RCA Coach Weekend 1 Workshops
- One RCA Coach Weekend 2 Workshop
- Three Community Coach Workshops in which coaches had conversations about fun learning activities, teaching new coxswains, and leadership skills for young coaches
- Four coach evaluations in which coaches became certified and were mentored by their evaluators, with five more evaluations currently in process
- Many other opportunities for coach development from discounted Make Ethical Decisions modules to practical rigging experiences, and beach sprint basics to bystander interventions skills
Start thinking about how you will develop your coaching skills in 2025 and check the Rowing BC Events Calendar for:
